Each year, the SVC Foundation supports students traveling to the SVC Techcon to present their research. Zuzana just finished her Master’s study last September and is continuing her research toward a Ph.D. at the Czech Technical University in Prague in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Her research topic involves the investigation of new functionalization of thermoplastics with low-pressure plasma for thermoplastic-metal welding and applications in 3D printed composite materials. Her presentation in the Plasma Processing session of the Techcon was titled “Low-Pressure Cold Plasma Surface Treatment for Adhesion Improvement in Composite Structures”.
