Each year, the SVC Foundation supports students traveling to the SVC Techcon to present their research. Varun Jain is a Ph.D. student at Brigham Young University where his research involves “deposition of thin carbon film by Physical VaporDeposition, its subsequent characterization and functionalization”. At the Techcon, Varun presented his research during the Coatings and Processes for Biomedical Applications session with a paper titled “Preparation, Modification and Characterization of Sputtered Carbon Surfaces for Their Application in Biosensor Arrays”.
